Getting homes and or businesses organized is easy when there is a Professional third party “objective viewpoint” of the mess, clutter and chaos that creeps in around you.  Professional Organizers are a special breed of people that see things in a whole different perspective.  They can see through tons of papers, boxes, disheveled areas and mounds of clothing, electronics, and stuff to a clear and stable path.  Whether it is a home organizing project or organizing business it is essential to get some professional help.  Getting family, friends or unprofessional people into the mix will only make the matter worse.  One of Professional Organizer Marla Stone’s favorite sayings is “matter, matters”.  We love stuff, we love having it around to use, but sometimes it is not useful, purposeful, or sentimental anymore.  Quite frankly you may not even love half the stuff around you anymore”.  So people want a leg up on how to go through their items in an easy, clear and quick way, making decisions about whether it goes or stays.

To begin an organizing project there are a few steps to take.

1. You want to acknowledge that you want an “ideal” lifestyle.  For everyone “ideal” is a different thing.  Know your thing.  Know what you want and value in life.  Make a list of all the things you most value in life.  Then write some goals on how to reach for the stars.
2. You want any sad, angry or miserable messages out of your mind and emotions.  You want to clear the mind and emotions of anything that will block the decision making process.  “Get clear to get clear”.
3. You want tools of the trade.  Containers, furniture, markers, trash bags, measuring tape, and tools.
4. You want a resource for donations, trash pick up, or places to sell valuable items.
5. You want Professional help so that you can do it once and for all and correctly.  Getting things organized in NOT about making it neat.  Getting organized is about a lot of things.

Getting organized involves Pattern Recognition.  Pattern recognition helps organizers separate items by category quickly.  We can come into a space and gather every scrap of paper quickly and efficiently.  We can then go through the space and gather every book.  We can then get all your shoes together and then your ties.  Dividing your items into categories makes going through them quickly and easily.

Organizers understand how to help you make good and concise decisions so the organizing project goes quickly.  Getting stuck on making decisions about an item you may or may not want to keep slows down the process.  We have techniques to get to the truth about what stays and what goes.

Organizers can see a space in a whole new way.  What used to be four desks in an office lined up against walls is now four desks placed in a way that creates good energy and flow through your office and for each individual.  What used to be a bedroom that looks overwhelmed with large furniture and a bed facing the incorrect direction, now looks like a glamorous hotel suite.  We think of every great decision possible for your space, the furniture placement, and then finish it off with decor, and voila you have a brand new place to thrive.

Home and Business organizing creates space where you never thought space existed.  The organizer comes in and plays “musical furniture” and has the “furniture whisperer” touch to get your home or office looking like a model showcase, with no hidden clutter left.

Hidden clutter is the stuff that is pushed into corners, under the bed, deep in closets, in storage and in the shed. Hidden clutter in essence is a hoard of stuff you do not use, but somehow it has found a permanent place in your real estate.  Professional Organizers will create the space you always dreamed about and get everything out of hiding into the light so you can either enjoy it, use it, or clear it out.

Acknowledging that you want help is the first step.  The average job of getting a small office or home organized ranges between $800.00 – $1800.00.  Larger spaces can start at $2000.00 all the way up to $15000.00, so you want to be prepared and ready for someone to come in a rock your world and your pocketbook.  Choosing someone with a mental health and design background, so you understand how not to re-clutter, and also end up with a home that is aesthetically pleasing, is optimal.

Organizers will organize anything that has become unmanageable such as kitchen cabinets, bathrooms, bedroom closets, garages, filing cabinets and even your car.  We organize large corporate offices, help businesses go paperless, and even uplift work environments so the workspace is a happier place to be.

“We go where the clutter is, wherever that may be”. Marla states “hairdressers know about your life, and we know about your life and your stuff”.  She also reminds that all information discussed or anything handled while helping you get organized is completely CONFIDENTIAL.
