An IOCDF Affiliate carries out the mission of the International OCD Foundation through programs at the local community level within the United States. Each Affiliate is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers.

OCDCSFL has had an incredible winter season. This past December, we hosted our very first CE accredited conference, “OCD And…” in Vero Beach, Florida, to raise awareness of OCD, evidence-based care, and common comorbidities. A huge thank you to the Keynote Speaker, Dr. Wendy Oliver-Pyatt and expert guest speaker, Dr. Patrick McGrath for helping to pave the way on this inaugural event.
Our annual “One Million Steps for OCD” walk, also in Vero Beach, topped off this action-packed weekend of OCD advocacy. Riverside Park was beautiful and the people were memorable! We thank all those who came out to support the cause.
Keep an eye out on our website for upcoming spring and summer events. We have ‘OCD 101’ approaching this spring in the Orlando area, where we are hosting an introductory CE event on treatment of OCD.
We are collecting unique pieces of art for ‘Obsession 2,’ our second OCDCSFL art exhibit and auction. If you or someone you know have been impacted by OCD, you can create and submit a piece of art representative of your experience, accompanied by a short paragraph about what your piece means to you. Pieces can be submitted with a name, or anonymously. Pieces can be submitted to:

We’ve hit the ground running this year with a vibrant lineup of events designed to educate, support, and advocate for our community. Here is a look at what we’ve been up to and what’s on the horizon.
We officially launched our annual Lecture Series on March 19th with a powerful Zoom session featuring Rev. Dr. Katie O’Dunne. As an IOCDF Lead Advocate and Chair of the Faith & OCD Action Council, Katie provided profound insights into the complex intersection of religious faith and OCD.
Building on this momentum, we are hard at work scheduling a diverse roster of national advocates and mental health professionals to speak throughout the remainder of the year.
To advance statewide education and outreach, we are currently developing several exciting initiatives: potential segments on public cable access TV; the launch of a clinician-focused case study group, a featured presentation by Dr. Christopher Pittenger, Director of the Yale OCD Research Clinic, at Yale University, a performance by a comedian who uses humor to destigmatize his OCD experience, and in-person meet-and-greets.
Beyond our events, we are focused on prioritizing new partnerships with state universities and mental health organizations to ensure that resources are accessible to everyone—from students to seasoned practitioners—while also supporting the creation of new in-person OCD support groups across the state.
In addition, we are adding new members to our Clinical and Scientific Advisory Panel.
Looking ahead, we’re planning to host our One Million Steps for OCD Walk on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT.

OCD Delaware celebrates its first year as an affiliate of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and as a 501(c)(3) organization serving individuals impacted by OCD and related disorders throughout the state.
Joined by board members: Mackenzie Reed, RN; Kathleen Rupertus, PsyD; Gina Raciti, PhD; Brian Ashenfelter, PsyD; Jeff Pincin, LPCMH; Amelia Serine, PsyD; and Sidney Lodge — the organization works to serve those affected through various capacities and areas of the state.
2025 marked several milestones, including Delaware’s first annual One Million Steps for OCD Walk, held September 20 at Battery Park in New Castle — which welcomed over 100 attendees in shared effort toward fostering connection and understanding amidst a disorder that can often leave individuals feeling isolated or alone.
Additionally, the organization awarded its first Youth and Impact awards to two deserving individuals — an effort guided specifically to honor and uplift others within the community.
During OCD Awareness Week (October 13–19, 2025), Legislative Hall (Dover, DE) was illuminated in teal, alongside an official proclamation issued by Governor Matthew Meyer and media coverage by Delaware Online and Coastal Point.
The organization looks forward to furthering efforts in Delaware in 2026.

This quarter, OCD Iowa proudly hosted its annual Des Moines 1 Million Steps for OCD Walk at Terra Park. The event brought together more than 230 participants, all walking in support of OCD awareness and advocacy. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, we successfully raised $15,700 to help fund programs and outreach efforts across Iowa.
The walk featured two inspiring speakers who shared powerful stories of hope, resilience, and recovery—reminding everyone of the strength and compassion within our community.
We continue to be inspired by the dedication of our supporters who help raise awareness and resources for those affected by OCD. As part of OCD Awareness Month, we hosted a silent auction that raised an additional $4,606 through the support of local businesses and community members. In recognition of OCD Awareness Week, the city of Ames helped shine a light on mental health by illuminating two local structures in teal, symbolizing awareness and solidarity.
Looking ahead, OCD Iowa plans to launch new educational events across the state in the coming year. These initiatives will aim to increase understanding, expand access to resources, and strengthen connections among Iowans impacted by OCD.

It has been a busy and productive season for us at OCD Midwest! We kicked things off with a successful CEU event focused on Integrating Motivational Interviewing and ERP to Enhance OCD and Anxiety Treatment, and we are thrilled to announce that we received a grant for “Plant a Camp.” Our community engagement continues to grow with six walks completed so far this year and a successful meetup in Northeast Ohio on 9/9. We are also seeing great movement on our podcast, OCD BTS (Behind the Scenes), while simultaneously ramping up the efforts of our diversity committee to ensure our growth is inclusive and impactful. Jenna Schloss, LCSW joined us as our new Board Secretary and several of our other board members will transition into and out of various roles next month.

| OCD New Hampshire has started the year off strong, already hosting two ERP trainings for clinicians at community mental health centers. Our monthly and weekly support groups and clinician consultation groups continue to grow and run strong. We have partnered with a popular local restaurant for their “Community Bake Night” coming up in March where we’ll receive a portion of the evening’s proceeds. Behind the scenes, we just held officer re-elections this month, which will begin the transition from Christina DeMaio as President to longtime, devoted board member, Katherine Van Hengel. Christina will continue to serve on the board. We look forward to all that 2026 will bring! |
| OCD New Jersey Spring 2026 Update OCD New Jersey will hold its annual conference on March 22, 2026, at The Westwood in Garwood, NJ. Guest speaker Josh Spitalnick, Ph.D. will be presenting on topics related to health anxiety. The event will also feature the always popular “Living with OCD” panel. The conference is open to Professionals and the Public. OCD New Jersey hosted a free virtual quarterly consultation group for mental health professionals on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 7pm. The group was well attended and was hosted by Dr. Marla Deibler. We are looking forward to the next consultation group which will take place on March 9, 2026 at 7pm and will be hosted by Dr. Rachel Strohl. |

OCD Pennsylvania has been busy in the past several months achieving our yearly goals. We have offered a few new “”Meet & Greets””…one time events for people with lived experience to gather and socialize. We have experimented with various locations: Panera, breweries and library. We will continue to offer this opportunity at various venues in 2026!
We have wrapped-up walk debriefs for 2025. Our walks this year brought several unavoidable changes which resulted in less walks, participants and fund raising. In 2026, hopefully the change in the sponsorship process will support the walks raise more funds as we settle into our “new normal.”
We are very excited about our 2nd Annual Philadelphia OCD conference on March 28th. Participants will learn about the lived experience, treatment updates, and skills to put into their toolkits.

OCD Sacramento kicked off 2026 with the addition of our newest board member Kristina Orlova, LMFT. Kristina is both a therapist and advocate for OCD, not just as a therapist but also with lived experience. Kristina started our presentation line-up via Zoom in March titled “The Thought Trap: When Thinking Becomes the Problem.” Kristina was greeted with many enthusiastic attendees interested in learning more about obsessive thinking and how to recognize it. In April, board member Mallory Eastman, LMFT will present “Interrupting the Reassurance Cyle in Relationships.” This will encompass how to care for the relationship without giving in to OCD. Zoom code will be listed on our Facebook page. More presentations to come in May.

| OCD Southern California is excited to officially announce that we are once again hosting the Online OCD Conference, a Global Event, this November 7th and 8th, 2026. If you are interested in submitting a proposal, the proposal system will open up in early April. We’re looking for presenters who are professionals or people with lived experience. We are also excited to announce that we have a new president! Jenny Kuckertz, Ph.D., has been an OCD SoCal board member for many years in various roles and is now stepping in as our new president. We look forward to seeing where she takes the affiliate, and we know her passion, attention to detail, and love for this community will take us far. We also want to thank Melissa Mose, LMFT, who has served as our president and helped expand our affiliate under her incredible leadership. We are excited to know she will remain on the board as treasurer. OCD SoCal is continuing to form regional councils in the counties in our catchment area. Our San Diego regional council is hosting a “One Million Steps for OCD” walk at the La Jolla Shores Hotel on Saturday, June 6th! Additionally, they are offering a college OCD tour. The Orange County regional council has held its first meeting and is seeking additional members. Finally, we offer a free, virtual Family and Loved Ones OCD Support Group for parents, family members, spouses, and loved ones of people supporting someone with OCD. It meets on the second Saturday of each month from 11 AM to 1 PM Pacific Standard Time. Just email us to request to be added to the email list to experience support, education, and information! | Hello from OCD WA! We are so excited that this year we are celebrating our 10th year anniversary as an IOCDF affiliate. And to top it off, this year the annual IOCDF conference will be in Seattle. Come join us this summer! This spring OCD WA hosted Maybe Maybe Not, a storytelling event featuring a cast of individuals with OCD. Dr. Shereen Morse, an OCD psychiatrist and former stage performer and Dr. Stacy Welch, an OCD psychologist and the former director of the Anxiety and Stress Reduction Center of Seattle spearheaded this fun event. We are so pleased that Northwest PANDAS/PANS Network (NWPPN) is giving a talk co-hosted by OCD WA. This talk will be March 19 and has the goals to increase knowledge and awareness of pediatric neuropsychiatric illnesses such as PANDAS and PANS. | At OCD Wisconsin, we are committed to supporting individuals and families impacted by OCD through education, advocacy, and connection to evidence-based care. One of the most meaningful ways we bring this mission to life is through our annual Fearless Family Camp, an experience that continues to grow in both reach and impact. This summer, June 25-28, 2026, we are proud to host our third annual Fearless Family Camp at the Cedar Valley UCCI Retreat Center in West Bend, Wisconsin. What began as a vision to create something deeply needed for our community has evolved into a truly transformative experience for families navigating OCD and anxiety disorders. Fearless Family Camp is unique. It is currently the only overnight therapeutic summer camp in the United States designed specifically for children ages 10-14 with OCD and related anxiety disorders and their caregivers. Our goal is simple but powerful, to create a space where kids and families can learn, practice, and grow together in a supportive, understanding environment. Camp blends the joy and connection of a traditional summer camp with evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard for OCD treatment. Throughout the weekend, children participate in creative, engaging exposures (fan favorites include activities like “contaminated kickball”), group therapy, and skill-building sessions led by trained professionals. At the same time, caregivers receive education, tools, and support to better understand OCD and how to respond effectively at home. One of the most powerful aspects of camp is that families are learning and practicing these skills together, in real time. But beyond the clinical framework, something equally important happens, connection. Camp creates a space where kids realize they are not alone, where parents feel understood, and where shame begins to lose its grip. Families often leave not only with new skills, but with renewed hope, confidence, and a sense of community that extends far beyond the weekend. As we enter our third year, we continue to be inspired by the courage of the families we serve and the progress they make when given the right tools and support. Fearless Family Camp is more than a program, it is a reminder that recovery is possible, and that no one has to face OCD alone. We are honored to continue this work and grateful to be part of a community that is committed to increasing awareness, access to care, and hope for those impacted by OCD.
